The county administrative boards' integration network

The County Administrative Boards' integration network consists of those who work with the County Administrative Boards' assignments within New Arrivals' establishment (Nyanländas etablering) and Early interventions for new arrivals (Tidiga insatser för nyanlända). The purpose of the efforts is to speed up the establishment process and at the same time make the waiting time more meaningful through various activities. The integration network deals with issues concerning asylum seekers, new arrivals, and unaccompanied children in Sweden.

As a part of the internal exchange of experience, Henrik Malm Lindberg talked about Delmi's first return study, Those who cannot stay: Implementing return policy in Sweden. It is about the implementation of return decisions, the cooperation between different actors and goal conflicts with other goals in the area of integration, for example. Research-based data on migration and integration issues and knowledge of various parts of the asylum process is valuable in order to meet the target group in the best way.

Att förstå opinionen om integration: Var står Sverige?

Delmis kommande Policy Brief, Att förstå de allmänna opinionerna om integration: Var står Sverige? (Understanding Public Opinions Towards Integration: Where Does Sweden Stand?), bygger på det EU-finansierade projektet "Exploring the Integration of Post Migrants in Small and Medium-Sized Towns and Rural Areas from a Whole of Community Perspective" (Whole-COMM, –).

Understanding public opinions towards integration: Where does Sweden stand?

Drawing on a survey of public opinion on refugee integration, this Policy Brief compares attitudes in Sweden with those in Austria, Germany, and Italy. The survey focuses on perceptions of refugees from outside Europe and Ukraine, with fieldwork conducted in small and medium-sized towns as well as rural areas (hereafter referred to as "smaller towns").

The Policy Brief is part of the EU-funded project "Exploring the Integration of Post Migrants in Small and Medium-Sized Towns and Rural Areas from a Whole of Community Perspective" (Whole-COMM, ). This project analyzes the dynamics of integration among migrants who arrived in several European countries, including Sweden and Canada, after and settled in smaller towns.

    Key conclusions and recommendations:

    1. Countering misinformation: The most consistent finding of the Whole-COMM study is the disparity in opinions regarding the integration of Ukrainians compared to non-European refugees. When the survey was conducted in , there were no official statistics available on employment rates or other integration indicators for Ukrainian refugees in Sweden. In
